Forget the Olympics, with all the smog you won’t be able to see much anyway…
It’s 8am on the 8th day of the 8th month of the 8th year in the 21st century. 8’s a lucky number in China so here’s hoping the Public Beta of the new Fat-Man Collective site, just launched, will win us some medals or get us busted for steroid abuse.

Go and check it out now! Under starter’s orders.

Any comments, suggestion or constructive critique are more than welcome! But first we must sleep.

Europe’s largest literary & talent agency, United Agents came to us with a brief. Build us a website with 1000 client cv’s, pictures, showreels and all the Agents within 4 weeks. A lot of data and none of it transferrable from any existing database.
We like a creative and technical challenge and began with the database, it had to be flexible enough to accommodate the various clients’ needs, from Ricky Gervais to Keira Knightley to Nick Hornby and easy for the staff to maintain.
We chose Wordpress. UA wanted to tell the world about their clients so a blogging platform seemed like the most obvious choice. Each client’s cv would build to become a series of links to video, books and images.
We chose elegant simplicity for the design, let the content engage the user and make Search the focus of the site.
We stretched Wordpress further than Gutenberg or Mullenweg ever would have dreamed of!
