FriendFeeding Frenzy
Yup the blogotronicsphere’s gone nuts for FriendFeed the ultimate social aggregator machine thing.
I could detail examples of this nuttiness but you’d be better just Googling it and oggling the results.
I got a side interest in urban art (formerly ’street art’ until Bonhams had a sale of it and called it something different, it’s all a matter of semantics). I see it in the street and I feel all warm and fuzzy, I point at wheatpastes and tell anyone around me who the Artist is, a habit my wife has long been able to ‘tune out’ from, but my daughter and nearly born, smile and kick respectively.
I also like mobile phones, particularly iPhones which means I’m a bit Nathan Barley on occassion, which is weird because the actor who played him used to date my sister and I used to get paranoid he was using me for research!
Urban art, street art, contemporary graffiti, neo-post-cubist-sticker-art, I embrace it.
So I created a room on FriendFeed, a room is:
‘A room is like a mini FriendFeed for a particular subject or group of people. Everyone in your room can share stuff with each other and leave comments that only other people in your room can see.’
Chosen subject street art. I’m still working out how to import some Flickr streams, but being unable to import others. I’m trying to create the ultimate meme on street art, a resource for anyone interested in the scene (I have to say that, it makes me sound a bit street).
Now I’m addicted to my creation and obsessed with finding new sources of information to feed the room.
I’ve no idea what Mister Wong is but you can import data from it into the room, together with 40 other services. How could that not be addictive?
Facebook sucks ass, FriendFeed rules, yeah dude.
